Story of my life

Born in 1983 to Esther and Ephraim Mametja at Kgapane hospital, raised by my grandmother till age of 4, did my pre-school from 1987-1988 at Kgapane pre-school which was started by Mrs. Molokwane.

I then moved to W.M. IN 1996 i went to start my high school at Makgoka high school at Boyne which is under Z.C.C. church, that is where i met most of my friends Thabe Nkadimeng, Sidney Ramoroka, Richard Nkoana (MHDSRIP), Malatji Chris, Sello Boshielo, Ngwato Nkadimeng, Maggie Moroaswi (Nee Letswalo), Mokgadi Thwala (Nee. Lekoloane), Elliot Nkhumishe, Kabelo Mohale, Maloko Justice, and the list is endless. I did my five years high school education.

I then moved to durban Nelson R. Mandela School of medicine which is under University of Kwazulu Natal (then University of Natal). While at university I met lot of different people from different backgrounds of life. I then joined SASCO which was under the leadership of the likes of Cde. Modiba Ali, Cde. Bandile Hadebe, Cde. Sibusiso Zuma (MHDSRIP). I was also an active member oand chairperson of TAC. After 2 years i have disagreements with the members of SASCO and i felt that my inputs were not appreciated i then decided to resign from politics. I also participated in a reasearch on anti-retrovirals when they were launched in South Africa which was conducted by Caprisa, working under Frncois Loggenberg and Mrs. Abdool Karim Quarissa. in 2005 I graduated from UKZN.

In 2006 i started doing my internship at Polokwane-Mankweng Hospital complex (PMHC) under supervision of  Dr. Mashilo (Anaesthesia), Dr. Legodi Peter (Surgery), Dr. A.O. In 2008 I started working in Van Velden hospital in Tzaneen town, that's where my interest in HIV?AIDS care grew even further. I spent 3 months working in HIV clinic solely and i enjoyed the interaction and the relationship i developed with the staff and the patients.
